GETTING READY...

This week, I'm in full prep mode for my first outdoor show on Sunday at the Williamsburg Flea. I've been playing around the set-ups this afternoon, trying to figure out what to bring and what to leave. While I'd love to bring everything, I don't want the booth to look too cluttered.

Here's where I am so far...
I'm thinking about color blocking everything...

This one still needs a little more work. I think I need to add more height...

If anyone has any tips on setting up a great display, I would love to hear!

The Secret's Out...

For the last few weeks, I've been dying to to share some exciting news, but had to keep my lips zipped. I've been asked to be a guest blogger for iVillage's Home & Garden site! My first post about how to shop a flea market is up today in the House Proud section. Check it out here.

Vintage Hunting in DC...

I just returned from a fabulous weekend of visiting friends and family in DC. Sunday was marked by a trip to Eastern Market in Capital Hill. The open air farmers market/ flea market always yields a ton of vintage treasures and this weekend was no different.

I scored an amazing bright yellow bamboo chair for my desk and a vintage lamp with metal flowers (pictures coming soon...)

One of the best parts of the market is wandering around with a freshly popped bag of kettle corn. The sweet, salty combination satisfies every craving and is easily shared...
